Peter Schmidt Group wins Grand Prix at the Red Dot Award with “The Revived”
Highest recognition for the activation campaign The Revived: The project by Peter Schmidt Group and TEAMBBDO receives a Grand Prix at the Red Dot Award Communication Design. The jury honors a campaign that set new benchmarks in emotional storytelling using AI technology to raise funds for Ukraine.
The Red Dot Award Communication Design is one of the largest and best-known creative competitions worldwide. Being recognized here is proof of design excellence that is valued not only by experts but also by the public. The Grand Prix is awarded only to a few projects that set new benchmarks in their category, as The Revived does. Using artificial intelligence, The Revived digitally brings six Ukrainain athletes back to life who where killed in the Russian war of aggression. Athletes who dreamed of winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were thus able, posthumously, to share their stories and raise donations for Ukraine. The campaign was developed by the agencies of TEAMBBDO in close consultation with the families concerned. Peter Schmidt Group brought its design expertise to the project, creating not only the campaign identity but also a high-quality promotional item: medal boxes similar to those of the Olympic Games, but containing the soldiers’ badge of service instead of a gold medal. At the presentation during the Ukrainian Olympic team’s press conference, this item led to powerful images that were published by major media outlets and gave The Revived global visibility.
Pioneering use of AI meets the communicative power of packaging

Alongside Peter Schmidt Group, BBDO and Interone were part of TEAMBBDO. To bring the campaign to life, the agencies worked with partners Tektite, Supreme Music, and the Erich Ludwig manufactory. Clients were Brand Ukraine (ukraine.ua) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Eight additional awards for Peter Schmidt Group projects
On top of the Grand Prix for The Revived, the Red Dot jurors granted eight additional awards to Peter Schmidt Group projects. These included work for E.ON, Bechtle, and Weleda. For Peter Schmidt Group this is not only the best result in its history. It also shows the breadth of the agency’s portfolio. Whether corporate or packaging design, the use of artificial intelligence, or premium-finished print publications, the agency’s work convinces across diverse communication disciplines.
