Brand Talks Cologne: Ulrich Aldinger on stage with Bechtle and Monotype
How do you make a font family that's distinctive but suitable for everyday use, contemporary but not faddish? Ulrich Aldinger, creative director at Peter Schmidt Group, will discuss this topic with Bechtle and Monotype at the Brand Talks in Cologne at 4:15 p.m. on 7 November.
Brand Talks is a forum where Monotype brings design, marketing and brand experts from gloval companies together in various cities around Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The half- or full-day events present current trends, practical strategies, and innovations that help decision-makers successfully develop and manage brands.
On 7 November, Ulrich Aldinger, creative director at Peter Schmidt Group, will be on stage at the Wasserturm Hotel on Kaygasse 2 in Cologne, together with Alexander Tibelius, head of corporate design at Bechtle AG, and Friedrich Althausen, type designer at Monotype. Beginning at 4:15 p.m. he will speak about developing the new corporate design, but above all the new corporate font for Germany's largest IT system house.
What makes the Bechtle Pro font family so special? Ulrich Aldinger: “The typography is a direct translation of the brand attributes. That means Bechtle Pro conveys the brand values with every word and every message. And it's also designed as a variable font, so it not only strengthens the brand experience across all digital channels, but also enhances sustainability in two ways: It reduces loading times for users, and Bechtle's licensing costs are completely eliminated.”
